Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 onion
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 3/4 cup yogurt
  • 2 Tbsp cilantro 
  • 2 cup peas

Spices

  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 0 to 1 1/2 tsp chili powder (to taste)

Directions

  1. Heat 1 Tbsp of coconut oil in a pan and cook chopped onion until brown.
  2. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft
  3. Take the mixture out of the pan and blend until smooth.
  4. Heat another 1 tbsp of coconut oil in a pan. Add the spices and garlic. Cook on low for 3 minutes.
  5. Add the blended mixture and peas to the pan with a 1/4 cup of water. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Add the yogurt and simmer for a further 2 minutes
  7. Sprinkle chopped coriander on top and serve with rice or naan.
