Matar Masala

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 onion
- 4 tomatoes
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 3/4 cup yogurt
- 2 Tbsp cilantro
- 2 cup peas
Spices
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp cardamom powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 0 to 1 1/2 tsp chili powder (to taste)
Directions
- Heat 1 Tbsp of coconut oil in a pan and cook chopped onion until brown.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft
- Take the mixture out of the pan and blend until smooth.
- Heat another 1 tbsp of coconut oil in a pan. Add the spices and garlic. Cook on low for 3 minutes.
- Add the blended mixture and peas to the pan with a 1/4 cup of water. Simmer for 15 minutes.
- Add the yogurt and simmer for a further 2 minutes
- Sprinkle chopped coriander on top and serve with rice or naan.
